Early Dismissal for Harvest Festival: All classes will be dismissed early on Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. for families to attend the annual Harvest Festival. Parents of kindergarteners through second graders are required to pick up their children from the classroom. The Harvest Festival, sponsored by the St. Michael Pastoral Council in the St. Michael School Cafeteria, is expected to include games and the ever-popular hayrides.
All Class Mass: Grades K-8 will attend an All Class Mass on Wednesday, November 4. Students are to meet, as usual, in the St. Michael School Cafeteria. Following opening prayer, students will go to church for Mass. Following Mass, they will return to their classrooms until their regular dismissal times. Parents and families are cordially invited to join us. Two Sacrament of Reconciliation parent meetings will be held. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 11 in English for parents of second graders. The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 18 in Spanish for parents of second graders and students enrolled in Miss Figueroa’s First Communion Preparation Class. Both meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the school cafeteria. For Grade 2, First Reconciliation will be held Wednesday, January 13 at 6:30 p.m. For Grades 3 and Up (students in Miss Figueroa's class), First Reconciliation will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m. Confession will be held on Wednesday, November 11 for Grades 3-4 and on Wednesday, November 18 for Grades 5-6. No Class will be held on Wednesday, November 25 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Coughing: Recently some students have been coming to class, coughing repeatedly. With the cold and flu season approaching, parents are encouraged, if their child is showing signs of an illness, to keep them home.
Guest Policy: Since the beginning of the school year, students have brought guests with them to the classroom. Guests are permitted as long as they are accompanied with a letter signed by a parent, indicating they have permission to attend. Parents must also include an emergency telephone number
